Annapolis Mercedes:  Mercedes-Benz’s E-Class arrives for 2012 with three new gasoline engines and a new seven-speed automatic transmission. Now in its ninth generation with more than 10 million vehicles produced over more than half a century, the E-Class is the soul of the modern lineup. For 2012, four sedan models are offered: the E350 and E550, E63 AMG and the E350 Blue TEC clean diesel model. On sale in all 50 states, the E350 Blue TEC is powered by a 3.0-liter, V-6 turbodiesel engine producing 210 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque, which is capable of 30 percent better fuel economy than a comparable gasoline engine.

Mercedes Annapolis:  AMG’s Black Series has been around for a few years, but it’s reserved for particular models that have even further performance developments. The C63 AMG Coupe Black Series is the fourth and latest of this rarified breed. Mercedes-Benz makes it quite clear, stating outright that the Black Series is made for “spirited driving on a closed track.” AMG’s motorsports roots allow it to showcase technology gleaned from success in the German Touring Car series, the SLS AMG GT3 customer support program and Formula 1, for which Mercedes-Benz has provided the Safety Car and Medical Car for the past 15 years.

Mercedes Dealer MD:  With its low roof line and elegant styling, the CLS has a been a looker right from the start. For 2012 Mercedes-Benz has completed a major redesign of its four-door sedan. From advanced direct-injection gasoline engines to full LED tail lights and daytime running lamps to optional full LED headlights to its twin-turbo, direct-injection V-8 engine, the CLS is an outstanding example of Mercedes-Benz technology. A full array of advanced safety features includes, Pre-Safe braking, emergency braking assist, Attention Assist, traction control with ESP electronic stability control. Distronic with Pre-Safe is optional, as are Active Blind Spot Assist and Active Lane Keeping Assist.

Annapolis Area Mercedes:  For 2012, Mercedes-Benz restyled the C-Class sedan with 2,000 new parts, including bumpers, headlights, front grille, aluminum hood, LED taillights, redesigned interior with color gauges, a new 5.8-inch display and new generation telematics. Thirteen new standard features are included, along with five new safety systems. Standard Attention Assist warns the driver when it detects certain indicators of drowsiness. The new HOLD feature of the Adaptive Brake system lets the driver take their foot from the brake pedal once the vehicle is stopped. The Parktronic system incorporates a guidance system that can identify a parking space that’s big enough and offers steering guidance in the instrument cluster. The C-Class sedan offers five models, including the C300 with 4MATIC all-wheel drive and the 3.0-liter V-6 engine. The C250 and C300 sedans are available in Luxury or Sport models, the latter includes standard AMG styling. The C350 Sport and C63 AMG also return for 2012.

Mercedes Annapolis Area:  With the Sprinter, Mercedes-Benz brings its expertise in trucks to one of the larger segments of the market. Despite increased competition, Sprinter sales for 2011 were up 94 percent. Sprinter offers fuel-efficient diesel power, three body lengths, two interior heights and as much as two-and-a-half tons of payload capacity, depending on model. Offering many Mercedes-Benz safety and convenience features, the U.S. line-up includes the Cargo Van, Passenger Van, MiniBus, Cab Chassis and Crew Van. All Sprinters are equipped with independent strut suspension and coil springs in front, four-wheel disc brakes, and a solid rear axle with leaf springs. Different packages are offered to provide the correct suspension for each version.

MD Mercedes Benz Dealers:  The SL is the most iconic cars Mercedes has ever made. While styling over the generations has shifted with the overall trends, the more recent examples are much more like a direct descendant of the legendary 300SL “Gullwing” of the 1950s. The 2012 SL roadster features styling with fenders that incorporate sharp, angular headlights and modified gill-type air outlets behind the front wheels. A front hood with two power domes (the SL63 AMG has a large, single dome) and a bold grille emphasize the width of the body and make a symbolic visual connection to the famous 1954 300SL.

Mercedes Dealers MD:  Originally developed as a military vehicle, the G-Class offers serious off-road capability with refined luxury. Known as the Geländewagen in Europe, the 2012 G-Class features a new option package dubbed “Edition Select.” It’s available in Black, Arctic White or Iridium Silver paint, with flared AMG fenders, side exhaust pipes, silver-painted alloy wheels, carbon-look side molding and designo floor mats. The interior features a two-tone designo Black/Porcelain interior with contrast stitching, a special emblem, Black Piano Lacquer wood trim and illuminated door sills that feature white Mercedes-Benz lettering. The five-passenger, body-on-frame SUV is offered in two models – G550 and G55 AMG

Mercedes MD:  Mercedes has pulled the wraps off the third generation M-Class SUV, and along with completely restyling the vehicle, the automaker has added safety and convenience features, and new V-6 gasoline and BlueTEC engines. The model lineup for 2012 consists of the ML350 BlueTEC, ML350 4MATIC and, arriving early 2012, the ML550 4MATIC. The 2012 M-Class sits about 3/4-inch lower than the previous model, the new SUV is nearly an inch longer and a half inch wider. With the same wheelbase, its track width is more than a half-inch wider in front and an inch wider at the rear. Outside there are LED daytime running lights and tail lights, chrome roof rails, Agility Control suspension and an optional panorama sunroof. Interior features include standard eucalyptus wood trim, COMAND controller, 7-inch COMAND display screen, ADAPTIVE BRAKE, electromechanical steering, optional climate-controlled cupholders, PARKTRONIC with Active Parking Assist, multicolor ambient lighting and a new audio head unit.

MD Mercedes Dealers:  The AMG-developed supercar returns for 2012 with the Coupe relatively unchanged, save for the addition of Blind Spot Assist as standard equipment, optional three-mode AMG Adaptive Suspension and AMG Performance Media, which includes driving telemetry and G-force measurements. The big news is the addition of the Roadster model, which joins the gullwing in late 2011. A power soft top in a choice of three colors opens and closes in 11 seconds and operates at speeds up to 30 mph, yet leaves trunk space virtually unchanged. Mercedes’ AIRSCARF and a removable wind deflector are standard and, naturally, it has conventionally hinged doors.

Pohanka of Salisbury Mercedes:  Mercedes’ full-size SUV remains little changed for 2012, continuing with three engine options – two gasoline and one diesel, which is available in all 50 states. The exterior appearance of the GL line includes front and rear skid plates, chrome window trim, sleek bumpers and front grille, and trapezoidal exhaust pipes. For the 2012 model year, all GL-Class models now feature LED daytime running lights, updated interior trim and new directional lines for the rearview camera.

Mercedes-Benz Maryland:  For 2012, Mercedes serves up the GLK compact SUV virtually unchanged. The GLK350 retains the 3.5-liter, V-6 engine and seven-speed automatic transmission from last year, along with the availability of the automaker’s 4MATIC full-time four-wheel drive. Among the standard features are 19-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, roof rails, privacy glass and chrome details. Back again for 2012 is the AMG Sport Package, which includes deeper front and rear aprons, 20-inch AMG wheels, LED daytime running lights and aluminum roof rails. An optional Keyless-Go system unlocks the doors and starts the car at the push of button while the key remains in pocket or handbag.

Metro Cambridge Mercedes:  It might be easier to list what doesn’t come with the 2012 S-Class. You don’t get a pony or a secret decoder ring or free movie passes. Sorry, it’s not a flying car yet. What you do get is just about every bit of Mercedes-Benz’s automotive technology and sophistication. Not everything is standard, but almost. Standard on all models except the S400 hybrid is ATTENTION ASSIST, which can alert the driver that he or she is getting drowsy. Options such as Active Lane Keeping Assist and Active blind spot Assist incorporating automatic ESP brake intervention .
