Checking Out the Engine Options and Power Ratings of the 2019 Mercedes-AMG® GT 4-Door Coupe Lineup at Mercedes-Benz of Salisbury on the Eastern Shore of Maryland

As we pointed out in our introduction, the 2019 Mercedes-AMG® GT 4-Door Coupe lineup is the one 2019 AMG® GT lineup that features a unique engine – though it also features the same engine as the rest of the 2019 AMG® GT lineup, only with different power ratings.

The 2019 AMG® GT 4-Door Coupe model with the unique engine is the 2019 Mercedes-AMG® GT 53 Coupe, which is powered by an AMG®-enhanced 3.0-liter inline-6 turbo engine complete with EQ Boost technology. This engine features 429 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque – until you kick on the EQ Boost, at which point you get an extra 21 horsepower.

The rest of the 2019 AMG® GT 4-Door Coupe lineup is powered by the same engine found under the hood of all other 2019 AMG® GT models – a 4.0-liter biturbo V8 handcrafted AMG® engine. However, like the rest of the 2019 AMG® GT lineup, the 2019 AMG® GT 4-Door Coupe lineup offers trim level-specific power ratings.

The 2019 Mercedes-AMG® GT 63 Coupe features 577 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque, while the 2019 Mercedes-AMG® GT 63 S Coupe features 630 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque.
