And when we say we’ve got it all – well, all is a whole lot when talking about the new 2019 CLS lineup. That’s because all three 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS trim levels have been fully upgraded and enhanced for the new model year with a slew of new features and capabilities – a list that includes new engine options, new 5-passenger seating arrangements, new interior and exterior stylings, new upholstery options, a bevy of new technology and connectivity systems, and a full slate of new safety and driver assistance systems.
Listing the Trim Levels, Engine Options, and Powertrain Features of the 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS Lineup at Mercedes-Benz of Salisbury on the Eastern Shore of Maryland
As we alluded to in our introduction, the 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS lineup features three impressively powerful, capable, luxurious, and fun to drive trim levels – the 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS 450, the 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS 450 4MATIC, and the 2019 Mercedes-AMG CLS 53.
The first two trim levels – the 2019 CLS 450 and the 2019 CLS 450 4MATIC – each feature the same engine and power ratings. More specifically, both of these new Mercedes-Benz CLS models are powered by a 3.0-liter inline-6 turbo engine with EQ Boost technology. This engine features power ratings of 362 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, though the two models provide different gas mileage ratings. That’s because the 2019 CLS 450 can get up to 24 city MPG and 31 highway MPG, while the 2019 CLS 450 4MATIC can get up to 23 city MPG and 30 highway MPG.
The other trim level – the 2019 AMG CLS 53 – is powered by an AMG-enhanced 3.0-liter inline-6 turbo engine with EQ Boost and electric auxiliary compressor technology. This engine features power ratings of 429 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque, and gas mileage ratings of 21 city MPG and 27 highway MPG.
