That’s because the 2019 Mercedes-Benz G-Class lineup features a slew of updates and upgrades for the new model year, a list which includes newly enhanced on- and off-road features and capabilities, a new independent front suspension, a new 9G-TRONIC 9-Speed automatic transmission, a new “G-Mode” addition to your DYNAMIC SELECT driving programs, a full slate of new exterior paint color options, brand new trim options, and larger than ever interior and exterior dimensions – including more leg room than ever before for all passengers in all rows.
Power Ratings, Gas Mileage Ratings, and Interior Space Specifications for the 2019 Mercedes-Benz G-Class Lineup at Mercedes-Benz of Salisbury on the Eastern Shore of Maryland
There are two 2019 Mercedes-Benz G-Class models to choose from, and each features its own unique power and gas mileage ratings. First up is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz G 550, which is powered by a 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 engine featuring a horsepower rating of 416 and a torque rating of 450 pound-feet while getting up to 13 city MPG and 17 highway MPG. This powertrain also features a 9G-TRONIC 9-Speed Automatic Transmission and all-wheel drive.
The other model is the 2019 Mercedes-AMG G 63, which is powered by a handcrafted AMG 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 engine featuring a horsepower rating of 577 and a torque rating of 627 pound-feet while getting up to 13 city MPG and 15 highway MPG. This powertrain also features a 9G-TRONIC 9-Speed Automatic Transmission and AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive.
The entire 2019 Mercedes-Benz G-Class lineup features a spacious interior. The front row provides 41.9 inches of head room and 57.8 inches of shoulder room, while the back row provides 40.5 inches of head room and 57.4 inches of shoulder room.
