2025 Trims Remain the Same
The 2024 GLE comes in four trims. These include the 350 4MATIC SUV, the 450 4MATIC, the GLE 450e 4MATIC SUV, and the 580 4MATIC. The 2025 Mercedes GLE offers those same trims.
All trims also stay the same for 2025 and offer the same engines and horsepower as they do for the 2024 GLE. This means a 2.0-liter inline-four turbo with mild hybrid drive for the 350, a 3.0-liter inline-six turbo with mild hybrid drive for the 450, and a 4.0-liter V8 for the 580.
Exploring the GLE 450e 4MATIC SUV
The 2025 GLE keeps the GLE 450e trim, which features a 2.0-liter engine with plug-in hybrid technology. This powertrain makes 381 horsepower and is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
Compared to the other two lower trims, the 450e makes more horsepower. The 450 trim features a 3.0-liter engine that makes 375 horsepower. Compared to the 450, the 450e has less cargo room behind the rearmost seat at 31.5 vs. 33.3 in the 450 trim. The 450e starts at $71,350 and the 450 starts at $69,500.
Comparing the 2025 GLE 580 Trim vs. 2024 GLE
For 2024, the GLE 580 had a starting price of $86,700. For 2025, that price has gone up slightly to $89,200. The engine is the same for both model years and it still makes 510 horsepower with 538 pound-feet of torque.
The 2025 model no longer offers the Diamond White Metallic paint color from the 2024 model, but it does add a Silicon Gray color and Light Blue Metallic. The wheelbase remains the same, but the 2025 model is slightly longer overall at 194.3 inches vs. the 2024's 193.9-inch overall length. However, the height and width of the SUV remain the same.
Comparing the 2024 GLE 350 Trim vs. 2024 GLE
The first thing to know about the base trim of the Mercedes GLE 350 trim for 2025 is that it costs slightly more than the 2024 model. The new price is $64,350 vs the 2024 price of $62,650. As with the other trims, both model years have the same engine and it still makes 255 horsepower. The Diamond White Metallic paint color has also been eliminated for 2025 and the same new paint colors for the 580 trim have been added at the base level. Otherwise, most of the other features stay the same, including safety and tech features.
What To Expect From the 2025 Mercedes GLE
There aren't any significant changes from the 2024 GLE, other than some newly available paint colors, a slightly longer vehicle, and a few package tweaks. The 2025 GLE is part of the second generation, which was introduced for the 2020 model year. The cabin of the 2025 GLE remains spacious and luxurious with premium materials. It can seat up to seven passengers with three rows of seats. The exterior of the 2025 model has been slightly tweaked, including an updated grille, front bumper, and a slightly different headlight shape vs. the 2024 model.
